Happening upon a fungi event, with guests including the Authors of this book, whilst visiting a small Canadian Island, was more than enough fuel to spark my redesign of the 'Mushrooms of British Columbia' book cover. This is especially considering it was already my most used book of this time.
Green for the mossy habitat, setting the scene with debris from the forest floor, and the frilly wobbly, bulging mushrooms intend to pull you in to take a look at some of the treasures within this book.
